Qualcomm barred from using Broadcom 3G patents

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A federal judge in California ruled on Monday that wireless chip maker Qualcomm Inc must immediately stop selling third-generation, or 3G, WCDMA cellular chips that infringe on the Broadcom Corp patents.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Internet-based calling company Vonage Holdings Corp said it has agreed to settle a patent dispute with Nortel Networks with no payment of damages, sending its share up more than 8 percent.
